With Easter just around the corner, we thought we would treat ourselves a little with these delicious Chocolate Bursts!
Ingredients
2 Cups of self raising flour sifted
1/4 Cup of drinking chocolate
3/4 Cup of castor sugar
1 Free range egg beaten
1/2 Cup of vegetable oil
3/4 Cup of milk
24 Squares of Cadbury cooking chocolate
3 Tablespoons of rolled oats
2 Tablespoons of melted butter
Method:
Preheat oven to 180c
Lightly grease a 12 piece non stick muffin tin
Place the flour ,drinking chocolate and sugar into a bowl, stir well
Make a well in the center
Combine the beaten egg and milk in a jug
Pour the wet mix into the flour and stir with a metal spoon until just combined
Do not over mix
Place one desert spoon of the mix into each muffin tin
Place 2 squares of chocolate in the centre
Fill each muffin tin 3/4 full with the rest of the mixture
Brush the tops of each muffin with melted butter
Sprinkle the rolled oats on top
Bake for 12-15 mins
Test with cake tester or skewer
