Baked Cinnamon Apples

Baked Cinnamon Apples

Add a dollop or sour cream or plain Greek yogurt to a bowl of these warm baked cinnamon apples, and you have the perfect hearty breakfast for a cooler morning.

Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a medium to large baking dish?
  2. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl
  3. Layer about 1/3 of the apples in prepared baking dish; sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar mixture. Repeat layering apples and sugar mixture?
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes
  5. At the 30 minute mark, pour water over apples and continue baking for another 10 – 15 minutes or until apples are tender
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to a week. Best served warm.
