Add a dollop or sour cream or plain Greek yogurt to a bowl of these warm baked cinnamon apples, and you have the perfect hearty breakfast for a cooler morning.
Ingredients:
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Method:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a medium to large baking dish?
- Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl
- Layer about 1/3 of the apples in prepared baking dish; sprinkle with 1/3 of the sugar mixture. Repeat layering apples and sugar mixture?
- Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes
- At the 30 minute mark, pour water over apples and continue baking for another 10 – 15 minutes or until apples are tender
- Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to a week. Best served warm.
